Mr. Vito has 50 years of experience investigating the most complex civil and criminal cases.  Pete’s prior law enforcement experience has allowed for close partnerships with various agencies.  These relationships benefit our clients in all areas and stages of investigation.

He specializes in commercial litigation matters with an emphasis in fraud investigations, workplace violence situations, product liability investigations with a concentration in automotive product liability, and white-collar crime investigations.   He is a trusted advisor to Attorneys, Boards of Directors, Corporations and Individuals throughout New York and the United States.

Mr. Vito’s experience and expertise earned him the nomination by the President of the United States to head the Western District of New York U.S. Marshals Service.  He was appointed to the positions of Commissioner of Erie County Central Police Services and Commissioner of Erie County Probation Department, Conditional Release Program. He was assigned to the Niagara County District Attorney’s Office as an Investigator.

In 1979, he founded Peter M. Vito & Associates, Inc., licensed Private Investigators by the New York State Department of State, where he has served as President and CEO since its inception.

Prior to opening his own company, he worked as a casualty adjuster.  He began his Law Enforcement career in 1972 as a Deputy with the Erie County Sheriff’s Department, which subsequently led to his assignment of the narcotics squad.
